My name is Jacob McBee, co-owner of Proud Pops Plumbing, Air, and Electric alongside my brother, Brandon Rackler. And yes—brothers, even though not by blood.
I lost my dad when I was 12 years old, and as you might imagine, that left a pretty big gap in my life. Thankfully, just around the block lived the Rackler family. Brandon and I became best friends, and his dad—who everyone knows as Pop—took me under his wing like one of his own.
At 17 years old, I followed Pop into the HVAC trade. Twenty-nine years later, I’m still at it, working side by side with Brandon. Over the years we learned the business the old-fashioned way: by showing up early, working hard, and treating customers the way you’d treat family.
There’s a good chance that somewhere along the way I’ve repaired, maintained, or even replaced an air conditioning system in your home—or in the home of someone you know. About 15 years ago, while working with Pop, we expanded into plumbing and electrical as well, building a full home service company focused on taking care of the whole home.
After nearly 25 years working alongside Pop and Brandon, I eventually stepped out to start My Favorite Service Company. But after a few years I realized something was missing—I missed working with my brother.
Around that same time, Brandon had been reflecting on the same thing. After decades in the industry helping grow a company our family was deeply proud of, he felt the pull to get back to something simpler and more personal—serving the community the way Pop taught us from the beginning.
So we came back together.
We joined our companies, our teams, and our shared belief that homeowners deserve honest service from people who truly care about their homes and their families. Proud Pops was built on that foundation.
Today our company carries forward the lessons Pop taught us:
This business means even more to us now because the next generation is stepping in as well. My two oldest sons are already working in the company, and we hope the younger ones will follow in the years ahead. For us, Proud Pops isn’t just a company—it’s a family legacy.
If you ever need help with your home’s plumbing, air conditioning, or electrical systems, we would be honored to earn your trust.

No pressure. Just honest advice and good work done the right way.
We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your home.
